Pavarkai Porial | Bitter gourd fry

Bitter gourd is loaded with vitamins and minerals. This is one of the common vegetables in south Indian cuisine. I like the bitter taste form this. If you don’t like the bitter taste then you can chop and soak the bitter gourd in sour curd for 20 mins and follow the below steps. You will get fry with nice texture with no bitterness.

Ragi Puttu | Finger Millet/Kezhvaragu Puttu

In olden days, Ragi is one of the familiar foods consumed by people on daily basis. But nowadays this millet is totally disappeared in many houses. Many people don’t know what Ragi is. Ragi is a very rich source of minerals and high protein content. This helps to control diabetes and keeps you young. Finger millet is also rich in antioxidants. Today I prepared Ragi puttu out of ragi flour. This is very easy to cook. The procedure maybe bit lengthy but worth trying it.

Homemade Peanut Butter Recipe

This post was in my draft for long time. Today only I could post it. I love peanuts and peanut butter very much. First I use this butter for sandwiches. Then I tried as a dip for apples after seeing this recipe from a blog...really it is awesome. My Chithi family cultivate peanuts. So we get fresh peanuts every year in bulk. And I make this butter very often. You also can try this easy recipe at your home. This would taste better than the store bought one. All you need is peanuts and jaggery to make this butter at your home. Peanut is very good for health. By this way you could make your kids to have peanuts.
